The traffic in and around C/D/E parking is an absolute nightmare. After this renovation is “finished” it will be packed with cars and still barely functional. Look at our highways…so many lanes but it just takes one idiot slamming on brakes and crossing lanes to back everyone up for miles.

They obviously flew into the airport, looked at it, and flew out. They certainly didn't attempt to drive there. Not sure if it's incompetence or corruption, but traffic is so monumentally mismanaged that I don't even want to use our main airport.

0:13 Really, vibrant, International Airport…No, JFK, LAX, SFO, ORD, and MIA are thriving International Airports, IAH is at best a 2nd tier international airport. Some 20 international airlines is hardly “thriving” and with no new int’l service for the foreseeable future, especially foreign operators, DFW is poised to replace IAH as Texas’s international gateway status.

Skytrax…do these awards really mean anything, so many with different metrics and analytics…? Congrats I suppose but the average flyer could care less.

The city of Houston should be ashamed of how long and how badly managed this project has been performed. At least the prior head of the construction was fired/ stepped down! Lets get it done better. It is a complete nightmare to go through the international terminals for pickup! Horrible experience and quite frankly dangerous. I hope the next management team completes the project in a better manner!

too bad houston never invested in a people mover or air train to get passengers around. most developing countries have better systems. every 10 minutes is not good enough. then 10 minutes ride on top of that. terrible.

Terminal C traffic officers are unduly aggressive and threatening. Some of the females in that area should not be allowed any "position of power". They've let it go to their heads and it's gone unchecked.

You might want to think about transforming passenger pickup at IAH. I was a driver on 12/20/23 about 6:15 pm picking up 3 family members who were waiting in lane 1 of terminal A arrivals when I was redirected to lane 4. Before I could even put my vehicle in park as the arriving family crossed the street to lane 4, a male traffic attendant screamed at me in an extremely hostile manner, to exit the terminal meaning I’d have to circle around through 1 hour traffic while literally seeing my 3 passengers in my rear view mirror. This is unacceptable behavior and the IAH management must correct this as it’s a very bad look for this airport and America’s 4th largest city.

Constantly building more parking spaces but no rail connection to the city is like shooting yourself in the foot once again. Get a grip!

I have never felt more unsafe at an airport than at the IAH pickup lanes. Not only can you expect verbal abuse on behalf of their staff, but you can also expect to be threatened with a citation for merely trying to help ease their congestion by moving your vehicle forward when the one in front of you clears. Logic doesn't exist in the pickup areas at IAH, only chaos. Avoid this airport at all costs. Even a detour to Dallas is worth your time to avoid putting your family members at risk in their dangerous pickup lanes. One new terminal = several new staff to yell at arrivals and block cars from moving, only to then take photos of those cars and file citations fraudulently claiming the cars were parked.

The staff at IAH created, in my opinion, a clear and present danger in the pickup lane of the A terminal last night in the midst of my wife and I returning from Canada. I have never had such a rude welcome from this airport. Initially, we left the baggage claim and went to the wrong arrival pickup lane. As we were turning around to go back inside to a different doorway, one of the staff in a yellow vest just kept screaming at us and those around for being feet away from the airport Marriot hotel entrance. Mind you, having the hotel entrance right near passenger pickup makes no logical sense from a design perspective, but let's put that aside. As we exited the *correct* doorway a few minutes later, we waited patiently on the curb and instructed our relative to drive further down the pickup lane to help ease the congestion and make life a little easier on their staff, who at this point were scanning the four lanes of cars with a phone to (I guess?) take photos of cars for citations. This was also late at night, with minimal traffic, which was extremely suspicious. Regardless, as I instructed my relative picking us up to move forward, one of the men in a yellow vest quite literally stood in front of his car, and began cursing at him. At this point, we just wanted to get away from their staff. My wife and I placed our bags in the car, and we promptly departed, but not before our driver was threatened by the man in the vest as well as by the lady shown in this video at the 12-15 second mark. She threatened us with a citation, after the guy she was working with had run up on us and blocked our vehicle from moving forward in the lane. This endangerment of the public is not going to go unnoticed. We will be filing a complaint and making sure people recognize the danger you place people in during passenger pickup. If you've stumbled onto this video and this comment and are landing at IAH anytime soon, STAY CLEAR of the staff in yellow vests, and be polite and try your best to brake hard when they run in front of you, and TAKE VIDEO as you drive through the pickup lane. It is my opinion that they are purposefully creating a dangerous and agitating environment for new arrivals, so that they can then create a false scenario for citations for "parking in the arrival lane." Your best bet is to record yourself and your vehicle as you are moving through the terminal, so as to avoid any fraudulent citations. IAH is putting themselves in a precarious situation, as it will be no surprise to me if enough people catch wind of this and decide on Class Action measures. Keep your families safe by avoiding these staff members and IAH in general.
